FUN RUN is off to an amazing start! This year our goal is $25,000 and all of those donations go back into supporting our students, teachers and school! We are already 38% of the way towards that goal and our students have earned their first all school incentive of a PJ Day!!! Our next level is so close at 50%!! Check out our other amazing incentives as we hit each level on the way to our goal.
If you haven't already, go set up your child's online fundraising page. Every child who sets up one receives a prize! Go to www.longmeadowpta.org/fundraiser/1584 to get started and to watch the Leaderboard!

FUN RUN ASSEMBLY
The fun run assembly was filled with fun! We also touched on the message of being helpful and someone's hero. Thank you RHS cheer & drumline for attending. Thank you to our school community for supporting the fun run and PTA. See you Thursday, Sept. 29th!
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government funded a program that allowed all students access to free meals. That program ended with the 2021-22 school year.
If your student qualifies for free or reduced meals, you must act now to ensure meals continue for the 2022-23 school year. Please complete the 2022-2023 online application at your earliest. A link to the application is also available on the district website, and paper applications are accessible at your student’s school.
Completing an application is the only way to be considered for free or reduced meals for the upcoming school year.
If you do not qualify for free or reduced meals, you may begin depositing money into your student’s account at any time in preparation for the 2022-23 school year. If your student has a negative meal account balance, please pay the remainder as soon as possible before depositing money into the account.
Information on meal prices for the 2022-2023 school year are listed below.
Elementary Middle School High School
Breakfast Meal Price $ 1.50 $ 1.50 $ 1.50
Lunch Meal Price $ 3.00 $ 3.25 $ 3.25
For assistance, please contact our Food and Nutrition Services Department at 248-726-4602. We look forward to meeting your student’s nutritional needs for the 2022-23 school year.

We are so excited to be partnering with the Positivity Project again this year.
What is the Positivity Project?
The Positivity Project, also referred to as P2, uses 24 character strengths to help students build positive relationships. Positive relationships are the cornerstone to health, happiness and resilience. Each week all children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade will be introduced and explicitly taught the same character strength. Everyone in our Long Meadow family will be provided with the same definition for each character strength. Children will soon be able to “see what the character trait looks like” through the use of videos, books, and discussions.
