This week RCS art was celebrated at the district art show at the administration building. It has been a beautiful display of creativity, hard work and skill! Congratulations to all of the artists!
Long Meadow artists learned about American Artist, designer and businesswoman, Laurel Burch. Her joyful artwork inspired students to create a piece of their own that focused on repetition and centered around a theme of their choice.
What is the Positivity Project?
The Positivity Project, also referred to as P2, uses 24 character strengths to help students build positive relationships. Positive relationships are the cornerstone to health, happiness and resilience. Each week all children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade will be introduced and explicitly taught the same character strength. Everyone in our Long Meadow family will be provided with the same definition for each character strength. Children will be able to “see what the character trait looks like” through the use of videos, books, and discussions.
