On Tuesday, May 18, our fourth graders had the opportunity to visit with a dog therapy group, The Fur Angels. Students listened to a short presentation on therapy dogs and had an opportunity to pet and visit with the dogs. The Fur Angels is a team of dogs and their human volunteers who visit schools, hospitals, residential communities and libraries to bring joy, laughter, and friendship. Each dog and handler is trained, tested and certified in a therapy dog program. The Fur Angel team looks forward to coming back to Long Meadow soon to meet with other grade levels!
