Fun Run was a HUGE success last week!!! You can still get those donations in! Online donations (www.longmeadowpta.org) are open through Friday, October 7th! With all of your help we’ve surpassed our goal of $25K but there is one last goal to hit. We are only a few donations away from watching our principal, Mr. Wescott, sleep on Long Meadow’s roof!!! 1st Grade is in the lead for the Kona Ice Truck party but it's still a close race so get those pledges in!

First graders learned about the impact of line as an element of art. These young artists used a variety of lines to create a unique radial design. Through painting, students learned skills on how to use and take care of their materials and workspace.
We are so excited to be partnering with the Positivity Project again this year.
What is the Positivity Project?
The Positivity Project, also referred to as P2, uses 24 character strengths to help students build positive relationships. Positive relationships are the cornerstone to health, happiness and resilience. Each week all children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade will be introduced and explicitly taught the same character strength. Everyone in our Long Meadow family will be provided with the same definition for each character strength. Children will soon be able to “see what the character trait looks like” through the use of videos, books, and discussions.
