Reflections is a National PTA program that encourages students to explore the arts and express themselves through a nationwide contest. Students can submit art in the form of visual arts, literature, music composition, film production, photography or dance choreography. Entries are judged on how well the art relates to the theme, creativity and technical aspects of the medium. This years theme is "Show your voice!". Entries for Long Meadow must be submitted by November 18th - fill out the entry form and turn in that paper copy in the Long Meadow office or via email. Questions or submissions reach out to [email protected]

Third graders are learning about value as an element of art. They applied their learning by creating a single color value gradient with a special message to spread positivity through their artmaking.
We are so excited to be partnering with the Positivity Project again this year.
What is the Positivity Project?
The Positivity Project, also referred to as P2, uses 24 character strengths to help students build positive relationships. Positive relationships are the cornerstone to health, happiness and resilience. Each week all children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade will be introduced and explicitly taught the same character strength. Everyone in our Long Meadow family will be provided with the same definition for each character strength. Children will soon be able to “see what the character trait looks like” through the use of videos, books, and discussions.
